HIGH-PERFORMANCE PROGRAMS
The Toronto Tennis Academy’s High-Performance Program is focused on developing players to compete at a provincial, national, or international level. This is done through our group training sessions. These sessions focus on developing our player’s tactical, psychological, technical, and physical competencies. On top of these sessions, players can take individual training sessions or fitness training and the development done in the group training.
HIGH-PERFORMANCE TRAINING CAMPS
TTA offers weekly high-performance summer camps each year from mid-June to the end of August at Thorncliffe Tennis Club (for players 14 years and older) and Wishing Well/North York Tennis Club (for players under 14 years of age).
The goal for summer camps is to develop all the players involved and help them perform at their best for their summer tournaments.
The summer is a vital time for a competitive player’s development. The absence of school creates a surplus of time for most athletes. If this time is used efficiently, any player can see a huge jump in their play. Thus any high-performance player needs to have an organized training schedule to enhance their development.
The first couple of weeks will be targeted at helping our players peak for Provincials. The rest of the weeks will focus on developing the players’ skills and preparing for the other summer events (Nationals, Roman Cup, ITFs).
