Rosewood Little Dix Bay

The iconic Rosewood Little Dix Bay on Virgin Gorda has reopened after extensive renovations, following delays due to Hurricane Irma. This 500-acre beachfront resort, originally founded by conservationist Laurence S. Rockefeller, offers 80 cottages, suites, and villas with natural materials and assigned butler service for each guest. The resort features a half-mile stretch of soft sand, shallow turquoise waters, and hiking trails in a secluded bay. Tennis players can enjoy six courts, two pickleball courts, a pro shop, and regular clinics or round robins, often attended by local residents.

Jason Kesselmann, with 30 years of teaching experience, oversees the tennis program at Little Dix Bay, offering specialty clinics, round robins, private lessons, and player match-ups. The resort boasts six courtsโ€”two hard and four artificial grassโ€”along with two pickleball courts, providing a high court-to-room ratio for its 80 rooms. All courts have been resurfaced and are located near the pro shop and fitness center. Court use is complimentary for guests.

The half-mile beach at Little Dix offers shaded lounge chairs along shallow, warm waters, with free shuttle service to nearby beaches, including The Baths of Virgin Gorda. The spa, perched on a ridge, features treatments in private huts surrounded by tropical foliage and a terraced pool with stunning views. Guests can enjoy watersports like snorkeling, sailing, and kayaking, plus guided tours and children's programs at the on-site Children's Grove. Dining includes four restaurants with sea views, serving fresh, locally sourced seafood and produce, and a rum bar for lighter fare and rare spirits.

Accommodations range from ocean-view cottage rooms with private terraces to spacious 3- and 4-bedroom villas.

Rosewood Little Dix Bay is open year-round. Most flights from North America connect through San Juan, Puerto Rico, to Tortola's Terrence B. Lettsome Airport (EIS), with ferry service to the resort.
