NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT SPORTS SUPPORT PLAN (ESYAA)
ESYAA is the National Plan for the Support of Developmental Sports and was established by the CMO in 1998. Its goal is to support the developmental age of sports in an organized way, through clubs and associations, i.e. by strengthening them in specific areas. In essence, it is a national special plan with the CypriotSports’ ultimate goals to acquire its own identity in the future through development processes. The Plan is intended for children aged 12-16 years.
The goal of the program is not really the selection of talents. But one of the goals, based on the children’s competitive action in the respective championships of the Federations, is their evaluation with specific criteria. This assessment is communicated to the respective Federations that are also responsible for “high sport”. However, we must emphasize that ESYAA contributes to the clubs’ efforts for better organization, coaching, and scientific approach so that the talents leave the clubs.
Talent Development Plan (TAT)
SAT (Talent Development Plan) is a program of the Cyprus Tennis Federation to which children from all over Cyprus belong.
Through this Program, young children are selected during the year from the various Clubs and are trained at the National Tennis Center in Nicosia.
