Since its humble beginnings as a tennis club in 1909, Hazelwood has evolved into a premier recreational facility in Winchmore Hill with exceptional amenities. The club fosters a vibrant social atmosphere where post-game gatherings at the bar are customary. Members can enjoy seasonal activities throughout the year, from summer barbecues to festive winter celebrations.

Tennis at Hazelwood Sports Club offers various pricing options, with outdoor courts free while indoor and floodlit facilities range from ยฃ4 to ยฃ26 depending on timing. The club provides year-round junior tennis programs for ages 4-16 through afterschool and Saturday classes, plus holiday camps via partner Kalo Sport. Hazelwood pioneered Padel tennis in the UK with two courts, introducing this popular Spanish and Portuguese sport that combines elements of tennis and squash in an enclosed playing area.

Hazelwood expanded its squash facilities during the sport's heyday, adding a third glass-back court opened by UK champion Peter Nicol in 1990, and maintains active teams, leagues, and a popular Monday club night. Membership costs ยฃ25 monthly or ยฃ285 annually, with court fees of ยฃ3.50 per player for bookings that guarantee 45 minutes but potentially allow up to 65 minutes of play with the new LED lighting system. Squash 57 (Racketball) has gained popularity over the last two decades as a joint-friendly alternative using the same courts but with a bouncier ball and shorter racket, featuring a Friday doubles club night from 5:30-7:00pm.
