At the 8-court Tennis Club at the Williamsburg Inn, players enjoy a unique setting with Revolutionary War reenactments nearby. The courts, comprising six Har-Tru and two hard surfaces, are a short walk from the historic Williamsburg Inn, built in 1937 by John D. Rockefeller. The inn, recently renovated, offers 62 rooms, a golf course, swimming pools, a spa, and a fitness center. Visiting Colonial Williamsburg provides a glimpse into history with over 500 buildings, period costumes, and guided tours.

Tennis director Hoy Correll, a former Catawba College player, has been at Williamsburg Inn since 2006, offering private lessons and adult and junior clinics three days a week. With around 125 members, he can arrange matches for hotel guests of various skill levels. The Tennis Club features six Har-Tru courts open from March to November and two hard courts available year-round. Guests of select hotels receive one free hour of court time daily.

The Golden Horseshoe Golf Club features two 18-hole courses and a 9-hole course. The Par-71 Gold Course, designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. in 1963, is known for its traditional layout, while his sonโ€™s Green Course, created in 1991, is longer and more forgiving. The Spotswood Course is a redesign of the club's original nine-hole course by Trent Jones Sr., featuring a mix of par 3s, par 4s, and one par 5. Additionally, the resort offers a full-service spa, fitness center with pools, and a variety of dining options from colonial taverns to the elegant Regency Room in the Williamsburg Inn.

Tennis is available year-round, with the clay court season running from March to November. The nearest airport is Newport News/Williamsburg International (PHF), a 20-minute drive from the hotels and colonial village. Richmond International (RIC) and Norfolk International (ORF) airports are both about 45 minutes away.
