Originally a modest hotel in 1911, the Gasparilla Inn quickly expanded into a world-class resort by 1912, adding tennis courts, a golf course, and a beach club. Now listed on the National Historic Register, the inn boasts 142 rooms, including 61 in the main building and 81 in cottages, plus a Pete Dye-designed 18-hole golf course, marina, spa, and fitness center. Tennis has grown to seven Har-Tru courts, managed by pro Jinx Howe since 1987, offering clinics, events, and matches for members. The resort is especially active during the social season from December to April.

The resort's tennis program now features seven Har-Tru courts, managed since 1987 by pro Jinx Howe, a former University of Tampa player and Virginia Slims competitor. Along with her husband, Mark Horan, Howe oversees weekly clinics, menโ€™s and ladiesโ€™ days, and weekend round robins for around 300 members.

The resort features tennis courts, a beach club, a golf course, a croquet lawn, and a casino for events and parties.
