Set within a 1940s hacienda courtyard surrounded by terraced gardens, the sunken clubhouse court at La Quinta Resort & Club symbolizes the resortโs deep tennis tradition. La Quinta made its mark nationally in 1978 when Charlie Pasarell and former players developed one of the finest resort tennis clubs, offering all three playing surfacesโhard, clay, and grass (though the grass is now gone). The resort now features 21 courts, including 16 hard and 5 Har-Tru, plus 8 pickleball courts, and has expanded to 620 casitas and 98 villas, all set around garden-like courtyards with pools and hot tubs. With its stunning setting, luxurious accommodations, and excellent cuisine, the resort offers little reason to venture beyond its grounds, except perhaps for the nearby Indian Wells Tennis Tournament.
