Ioannides Tennis Academy

Established in 1998, the academy is Cyprus’s premier private tennis facility, headquartered in Limassol and housing the ‘Premier’ tennis club since 2017. They implement scientifically balanced programs focusing on technique, tactics, and mental and physical training for professional and amateur athletes. Their exceptional facilities and comprehensive staffโ€”including coaches, fitness trainers, physiologists, nutritionists, and sports psychologistsโ€”are why they rank among Cyprus’s top sports academies. The coaching team combines experienced physical education graduates specializing in tennis with talented young professionals and veteran champions who have competed successfully at national, European, and world levels.

The academy features four high-quality clay courts and one hard court, built to the highest standards with six specialized layers for excellent drainage. After rainfall, the courts are ready for play in just 45 minutes. They import their clay from one of Europeโ€™s top producers in Crete, supplying leading academies in Greece and Germany. With Cyprusโ€™ long summers and mild winters, their athletes enjoy year-round training with minimal interruptions.

The tennis academy features a dedicated 150 sq. meter grass area for physical training, complemented by court training and seasonal conditioning at tracks, beaches, and mountains. Athletes can relax at their on-site cafรฉ-restaurant and swimming pool during summer months, while also accessing strength and endurance training at the ultramodern Ypsonas Sporting Center gym equipped with sauna, Jacuzzi, and steam bath. They offer comprehensive equipment services through the athletic shop where players can purchase all necessary gear including clothes, shoes, and rackets. Their professional stringer works daily in consultation with the coaching team to provide customized racket restringing services tailored to each player's specific game requirements.

Located just 10 minutes from the academy, it offers secure boarding facilities where athletes can reside under professional supervision. The boarding school features a restaurant providing nutritionist-designed meals to support athletic performance and development. The academy provides convenient transportation between facilities with their dedicated shuttle service, ensuring seamless integration of academic and athletic training. This partnership creates an ideal environment for student-athletes seeking excellence in both education and tennis without compromising either pursuit.
