The main reason why Kluge Tennis Center is different from other training facilities is simply this: we care about our students. From our elite Off-Campus program down to our beginner’s Alpha group, our staff truly cares about the students. Kluge Tennis Center’s goal is to develop players who love the game. Our staff wants to build up our students so that they can develop in a healthy environment.
10 & Under program
This is a Quick Start program for 5-10 year old beginner students. Never too early to begin instruction for a social player or a competitive athlete. Students will learn the fundamentals of the game, including instruction on scoring. Students can learn everything necessary to play at the tournament level in the Saturday match play.
Alpha select
This program is designed for advanced skill level players aged from 9-11 yrs old who are in transition from orange ball to yellow ball. Director approval is required to be in this program. Up to 6 kids are allowed in this program. Players should be already competing in USTA tournaments and are encouraged to play in Kluge tournaments.
Beginners Teen
This is our newest class and is very popular. This class is for students aged 11-17 years old who have never played before. Students in this class will learn what they need to advance to the intermediate level. Coaches instruct on fundamentals and drills. Our students love this class as they get to learn the basics with peers their own age.
Intermediate/Advance sessions
This class is for students aged 11-17 years who have developed the ability to rally the ball and is looking to accelerate in the game. Students younger than 11 years will need coach approval. This group is comprised of pre-ZAT level students who are training to prepare for ZAT tournaments. They also participate in Saturday morning match play, which further develops their skills.
Advanced Junior Development Program
The program is designed for junior players who already possess high-level tennis skills and are competing in USTA Super-Champ tournaments. Kluge Tennis coaches focus on maximizing the potential of each player by creating a high-performance environment. Emphasis is given to the complete development of the player in these categories: (1) Technical Skills – stroke mechanics and movement to the ball (2) Physical Skills – Strength and conditioning, agility, coordination, and balance (3) Tactical Skills – Accuracy and decision making (4) Mental Skills – Playing under pressure, adapting to the situation and instilling a winning attitude. Director’s approval is required to be in this program. UTR 8 and above
All the coaches at Kluge offer private lessons. Coaches will instruct on techniques, drills, and strategies. All lessons must be prepaid to secure regular lesson time.
