Yonahlossee Resort & Club

Located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, the Yonahlossee Resort & Club transformed from a girls’ summer camp in 1922 to a tennis resort in 1987. Guests can stay in the inn, cottages, or homes and enjoy dining at the Gamekeeper Restaurant and Bar. The resort offers amenities like a spa, fitness center, and pool, but tennis remains the main attraction, with seven outdoor Har-Tru courts available from May through October and three indoor courts open year-round.

Ripley Amell, a seasoned tennis professional, serves as both General Manager and Director of Tennis at Yonahlossee Resort & Club. With experience at Gray Rocks Inn, Matchpoint Jr. Tennis, and adult camps in Vermont and Pennsylvania, Amell is dedicated to enhancing tennis services and hospitality at Yonahlossee. The resort features seven outdoor clay courts, three indoor hard courts, and two permanent pickleball courts. Amell aims to provide a unique and memorable experience for all members and guests.

The resort’s amenities have been expanded to include a spa, fitness center, and pool.

2- to 5-bedroom homes are available for rent at the club through a variety of rental agencies.

Outdoor courts are available from May to September, while indoor courts are open year-round. The nearest airport is Charlotte Douglas International (CLT), located about two hours away via a four-lane highway. Alternatively, Asheville Regional Airport (AVL) is also an option, though it involves a drive on narrower roads.
