With 26 courts, our facility stands out as one of the world’s best. Ten Outdoor Har-Tru courts are carefully maintained for seasonal play and host some of the world’s best women from the WTA tour each spring. Alongside our clay courts are an additional four outdoor hard courts with a Har-Tru Sports Coatings surface for year-round play. Inside, you will find an additional 12 Har-Tru Sports Coatings hard courts that adhere to the ITA, ATP, and NCAA’s high standards and serve as the host site of top tournaments. A six-court tennis stadium holds over 1,500 for viewing of tournaments and collegiate matches. All of this is complimented with locker rooms and the Sports Club Café.Boar’s Head Sports Club is home to the University of Virginia men’s and women’s tennis programs, and all matches are free to attend, so feel free to stop in and on match day!

The Boar’s Head Adult Tennis Academy is a boutique-style, adult program built around the knowledge that every player has a unique game and processes information differently. We customize our instruction to the players’ learning style, game style, level of play, and individual goals. Not only do you get top-of-the-line facilities at Boar’s Head, but junior players also receive elite instruction starting as early as pre-kindergarten and continuing all the way to collegiate levels. Along with tennis and squash, Boar’s Head guests and members have the opportunity to play another racquet sport – pickleball! We like to say that “pickleball is fun for all” because it’s truly a sport that any age and skill level can enjoy.Boar’s Head Sports Club has 4 outdoor pickleball courts and 2 indoor courts. We also have paddles and balls that can be checked out at the McArthur Squash Center welcome desk. Pickleball nets are in both areas and ready for play. In addition to open play, we have a series of available clinics.

Welcome to the McArthur Squash Center, a world-class 33,000-square-foot facility available to Boar’s Head members and guests that boasts 12 singles courts, 2 doubles courts, and 2 exhibition courts all within one single venue. The facility is shared by the University of Virginia NCAA teams and is a remarkable space serving players of all skill levels. The McArthur Squash Center is considered one of the best in the world.The official hotel of the University of Virginia, this high-end resort is set on a 573-acre country estate and is 3 miles from the University and 4 miles from the Charlottesville Amtrak Station.
The chic rooms and suites feature a mix of contemporary and antique decor, plus fridges, private balconies and cable TVs. Room service is available.
