Club Med Punta Cana

Opened in 1980, Club Med Punta Cana secured a prime 75-acre beachfront location on the Dominican Republic’s eastern end, featuring nearly 2,000 feet of soft sand protected by an offshore reef. The resort offers 13 hard tennis courts, 8 pickleball courts, circus workshops, and expanded children’s programs for ages four months to teens. Accommodations include upscale oceanfront two-bedroom family suites called Tiara. Conveniently, the resort is just a 10-minute drive from the airport.

The tennis programs at Club Med Punta Cana include daily clinics, private lessons, and free court access, but there are no organized pickleball programs despite having 8 pickleball courts. Children aged 4-10 can enjoy mini tennis as part of their activities, while those 11 and older can join the adult program. The court complex features 13 hard courts, 6 with lights, and 8 pickleball courts.

Club Med Punta Cana offers a 2,000-foot-long private beach with distinct lounging, watersports, and quieter adult sections, complete with lounge chairs and a beachfront bar. The resort features multiple pools, including a main family-friendly pool, a spa plunge pool, and a private infinity pool for suite guests. Extensive activities are available, from windsurfing and snorkeling to circus workshops and yoga, with a comprehensive children's program offering age-specific activities. Dining options include the open-air Hispaniola overlooking the ocean and Samana, a marketplace-style restaurant with a wide variety of international cuisines and chef-prepared dishes.

Accommodations include standard and deluxe rooms, as well as suites, offering ocean views or poolside settings, with options that can sleep up to five guests.

The resort is open year-round and is a 10-minute drive from Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ). Santo Domingo Airport (SDQ) is another option, though it’s a 3-hour drive away.
