The tennis complex features 18 courts—13 hard (6 with lights), 3 clay, and 2 grass—plus 8 pickleball courts, with a strong focus on game matching and a wide range of activities including daily drills, a doubles round robin, and junior clinics. The popular PBI Tennis Show, likened to "The Harlem Globetrotters of Tennis," draws large crowds from December to April. Be aware that large conventions can fill up reservations, so the Marriott offers a Vacation Planning service to help guests secure bookings in advance.

The resort features two Ted Robinson-designed 18-hole golf courses—The Palms and The Valley—along with an 18-hole championship putting course called The Greens, which includes sand bunkers, water hazards, and rolling fairways, all played with just a putter. The 38,000-square-foot Spa Desert Springs, located by the lake, offers a range of treatments inspired by the Sonoran Desert, along with saunas, steam rooms, a saltwater pool, and a fitness center equipped with modern machines and classes like yoga and Pilates.
