LevelUp Pickleball Camps
LevelUp is recognized as the world’s #1 Rated Pickleball Academy (Pickleball Magazine 2020 Reader Survey). Our strength is not based on the volume of camps we run each year (100+) but rather in our proven progression-based curriculum taught by a small, hand-selected team of the sport’s top players/instructors. Each of our instructors is a 5.0 touring pro. They travel and play competitive tournaments around the country, winning gold medals in regional and national championship events.Winning at Your Level and Moving Up to the Next
The LevelUp program is all about learning and growing as players. Our pros will show you the common mistakes that people of your level make, how to overcome them, and how to take advantage of your friend’s lack of pickleball knowledge. Next, we teach you the skills, drills, strategies, and techniques to get you to move up a full level.Learning, Drilling, and Playing
While LevelUp is a serious and tested program, all of our drills and instructions are fun and cooperative. Again, the learning is intense, but the actual drills and play are fun and collaborative. Each LevelUp training segment focuses on the development of a particular skill. Here is our 5-step progress:
1. Each segment begins with the pros explaining a particular skill and why it is important
2. Pros then demonstrate the proper execution of the skill
3. The next part of the progression includes cooperative, drill-based games that isolate the newly learned skill
4. After a series of cooperative games, players take a rest break and then gather for the next skill – one which is an add-on extension of the previously learned oneNo Records Found

5 tennis girlfriends had a wonderfully productive and fun time at a March Palm Desert LevelUp camp run by Wayne Dollard, and Lindsay & Riley Newman, supported by excellent fellow coaches Safari Mike, Brian from Palm Desert Country Club, and crafty Larry. The on-court experience was outstanding – starting with Wayne’s Introductions, which created such excitement among the players as we began to understand the bona fides of the coaches we were lucky enough to spend the next 3 days with. The Teaching Method was OUTSTANDING. All gathered on court for quick verbal, then physical demonstration on how a drill would work in a real point setting. Then we all went to the courts and practiced the drill cooperatively and competitively. The repetition then execution in game situation with lots of in-the-moment coaching was incredibly effective. I am a completely different player than the one that entered the camp. And it is So much more fun to be better! In addition to a brilliant teaching method, the chemistry between the coaches – fueled by competence, respect, and pure joy for the sport and each other – created a terrific learning environment. I HIGHLY recommend this camp if you want to get better and have alot of fun!
The LevelUp 3-day camp was my second ever pickleball camp and it definitely exceeded my expectations. Wayne & Lisa created a schedule of drills, practices and games that made the 3 days so worthwhile. The skills taught are repeatable in order to LevelUp my game. To boot, their staff of pros supporting them in the instruction are as engaging, patient and consistent as they are! I look forward to practicing my new skill set, improving my game and then participating in their Advanced Camp at the end of the year. Thank you, Wayne and Lisa for a job well done!
Just completed the 4.0-5.0 Level Up Camp in Indian Wells, California; the instruction, follow-on training and drilling with partners was on point. The professional tutorials were methodical and built on each other with a focus on short game techniques, getting comfortable with the shots from mid court, and then the baseline. The unique drills supporting their “Learn/Drill/Play” instructional model make the days go quick so you don’t get bored because you’re moving through multiple aspects of the game throughout the day. Learning from pros/instructors usually occurs 3-4 times a day as a large group and these instructional periods are typically no more than 10 minutes in duration; at the conclusion of the 10 min period you breakout in to your court foursome and practice while each pro walks around and provides some solid one-to-one feedback on your technique. I thought the pace of the course was good—they don’t overly dwell on a particular part of the game so they can impart as much knowledge over the 3 day/15 hours of instruction. Routinely, a pro will ask one person to step out of the foursome and play in the foursome for 3-4 minutes; this gives everyone the opportunity to see and experience the techniques the pro is demonstrating as he/she plays with you; they then move to another foursome and do the same thing with that group. Highly recommend the camp; you walk-away with a lot of good techniques to improve your game.
