In May 2018, The Phoenician unveiled a new tennis complex with seven tennis courts, including a sunken stadium, two pickleball courts, and a half basketball court, all equipped with LED lighting. The complex also features an Athletic Club with a fitness center, retail shop, and activity area. Led by Ivan Rodriguez, the tennis program offers daily Live Ball drills, clinics, junior programs, and player-matching services. Resort guests enjoy the first hour of court time free, with a $25/hour fee thereafter.

The 6,487-yard, par-71 golf course designed by Homer Flint prioritizes accuracy over length, with challenging holes along Camelback Mountain. The back 9 offers elevation changes, desert rough, and narrow drives through towering saguaro cacti. The 14th hole requires a precise shot through a cactus-lined alley, while the 15th's elevated tees are accessible via a path marked with "Beware of Rattlesnakes" signs. Desert terrain and wildlife add to the challenge and allure of the course.

The resort offers 643 rooms and suites, all featuring marble bathrooms and spacious layouts of at least 600 square feet, with elegant desert-inspired decor. Each room includes a lanai, with the best offering views of the Valley of the Sun. The larger one- and two-bedroom suites also feature travertine fireplaces in villas near the pool.
