Wachesaw Plantation Club

Wachesaw Plantation Club has a rich history dating back to Native American settlements along the area’s waterways. In the 1930s, burial mounds revealed artifacts like pottery, tools, and jewelry, highlighting the site’s historical significance. An archaeological survey in the 1980s further explored its past, making it one of the most thoroughly researched plantations in the South. Many of these artifacts are now displayed in the Clubhouse.

The tennis program offers a mix of social and competitive play, including round robins, drills, clinics, and a top-tier adult and junior teaching program. Adult programs cater to all skill levels with mixers, team play, group and private lessons, and more. The junior program includes QuickStart Tennis for ages 5-10, using smaller racquets, low-compression balls, and smaller courts to teach technique and game basics. These activities ensure a fun and engaging tennis experience for players of all ages.

The private beach at Coral Beach Club opens at 10am (in season) with activities like volleyball, tennis, snorkeling, and a children's play area, while the Frozen Hut Bar serves drinks from 11am. Members can enjoy an 18-hole putting green, two squash courts, and a 24/7 fitness center offering cardio and strength equipment, fitness classes, and personal training sessions. Additional amenities include a croquet lawn, bocce ball, and a games room with board games, TV, and computer access, as well as scenic walks along the coastline and the nearby nature reserve.
